Altru Drama Casting

AltruWe are now casting for 2 Theatre in Education plays based around Anti-Bullying themes. Both pieces will tour primary schools across the North West in November 2014.

We are looking for 6 actors in total (3 Male, 3 Female), with a varied playing age and strong multi-role skills.

Energy, enthusiasm and professionalism are essential qualities, as well as a love of theatre for young people.

Both performances are approximately 45 minutes in duration and will be performed to primary school pupils during school time. Performances will be followed by a workshop and we are keen to hear from actors who also have experience of workshop facilitation.

Preference given toexperienceddrivers, particularly those who have driven short wheel based transit vans.


  • Able to play a range of ages (but must play a young teenager convincingly)
  • Both naturalistic and stylised approaches
  • Workshop experience desirable
  • Available from 7am – 4pm during week days (with possible overnight stays)
  • Available to audition on Wednesday 24th September 2014
  • Available for compulsory training day (date tbc)
  • Driving is desirable but is not an essential requirement (if you are a driver you must be willing to drive a transit van including on motorways and have both parts of your licence available upon request)
  • Willingness to undergo the DBS process or hold a DBS/CRB form issued within the last 18 months (we can arrange for a DBS form at your expense)
  • Must be based in the North West
  • ITC rates apply (pro rata based on 5 day weeks or less)
