We, at STUN have spent a considerable amount of time carefully planning our future. It is essential to STUN that our members are our top priority and that the financial decisions we make match our creative goals for the artists we will support through the artist cycle.
The decision about free space has been a hot topic at the STUN office and has not been taken lightly. We currently are not a National portfolio organisation, we do not have revenue funding. Apart from the rentals we have no other income to cover project or admin costs. We have decided to split the year into 3 and have one third of the year commercial rental, 1/3 of the year reduced rental for SME organisations and 1/3 of the year free. We are currently designing the application process for use of the space for our members, which now a little more tricky than we had originally anticipated.
Our current staff are:
Pauline Etim-Ubah: Organisational Development Manager
Colette Williams: Road-show Events Manager
Maya Chowdhry: Web Mistress
Esrene Hepburn: Trainee Events Manager and Web development assistant
Garfield Allen: Space Manager
Deyika Nzeribe: Co-Chair, strategic development, finance and legal
Miselo Kunda: Chair, broker, outreach, audience development, membership, archive, strategy, staff & volunteer co-ordinator, brand development, marketing and photography
Following several discussions regarding the launch of the newly refurbished space, we decided that that we would have an Open Hub Meeting/ AGM in the New Year. We are all very excited and look forward to inviting you all to come and see the space followed by a larger celebratory launch next spring.
We at STUN would like to thank you for all your support and thank you for your patience as we move into our next stage of development.
