On 28th August at the Manchester town hall the STUN Chair Miselo Kunda delivered a speech to the Chinese State Ethnic Affairs Commission Delegation about the STUN – Z-Arts partnership. It was organised by Dr. Yang He at Sunland International and Jo Johnston Culture Team Manchester City Council
Upon arrival there were refreshments and networking. Then a welcome speech from Cllr Sue Murphy, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party http://www.manchester.gov.uk/councillors/44/sue_murphy )

Mike Parrott Head of Events presented an overview of Community Events. Then we each presented project talks

and many more. Conversation was sometimes a little challenging with language barrier but the interpreters did an amazing job being able to translate the jokes too. They asked if any of us had been to China and said that they looked forward to us paying them a visit.
We are currently in email communication and I am sure that if we maintain these relationships that opportunities will rise for us to collaborate in the not too distant future.
