The whole team, whilst having individual specialisms will be multi-talented, a cross between a roadie, a performer, a steward, and intrepid champion of outdoor cinema.
You will all need to be organised, outgoing, pretty physically fit (there is a lot of lifting and carrying), you will enjoy helping people have a really good time, (in your spare time you are well known for putting on a good party), customer focused, don’t mind mucking in. You will also need to love camping, being outdoors, dressing up and don’t mind making a fool of yourself in front of lots of people.
It would be great if you have experience of working on outdoor / theatre/ festival events and have experience of touring whether inside or outside.
In return you will get to travel the UK and go to special places, forests, castles, gothic halls, see some fantastic films, and meet lots of lovely people.

Picnic Cinema is Eden Arts’ touring outdoor cinema programme. Picnic Cinema offers audiences cinema in scenery; forests, castles and other extraordinary locations across England. 2014 will see Picnic Cinema showing our now legendary Withnail and I screenings at Crow Crag (where it was filmed) as well as teaming up with The Forestry Commission to host screenings in forests.
Picnic Cinema events are unique experiences for film lovers, outdoor adventurers, culture vultures and people who are up for something special, a truly memorable night out and a bit of a party.
Picnic Cinema started in 2012 in Cumbria. In 2013 we expanded our programme to tour the wider North of England and events included audiences camping overnight. 2014 will see Picnic Cinema tour nationally in partnership with The Forestry Commission.
