Darnhill Festival Co-ordinator
The Festival Co-ordinator post is part time (0.4 = 15/37 hours per week) at a salary of £23,156 pro rata, plus pension contribution (7.5%). Initially a 6 month contract is offered.
About Cartwheel Arts: Cartwheel is an ambitious and innovative company based in Heywood delivering participatory arts projects in Rochdale borough and across the North West for nearly 30 years.
About Darnhill Festival: Cartwheel Arts works in partnership with Darnhill Festival Association to organise the vibrant Summer and Christmas festivals each year on the Darnhill estate in Heywood, Lancashire. The Association have contracted Cartwheel for the next 12 months to provide project management.
About the post: We need a highly organised and creative Festival Co-ordinator with a proven track record in fundraising and project management and excellent communication skills to secure and deliver the eleventh Darnhill Summer Festival in July 2014.
An initial contract is offered for 6 months. A 6 month contract does not quite take us up to the Festival itself. The contract will be extended if the Co-ordinator succeeds in raising the funds to deliver the festival (including the Co-ordinator’s remuneration and a contribution to Cartwheel’s core costs), and wishes to fulfil that role.
