The co-ordinator will report to the GMAON Strategic Management Group, comprising of 4 senior level members of the existing network. The role will be varied, including elements of administration as well as advocacy strategy to raise the profile of the network’s achievements, identify funding opportunities and forging partnerships with the broader creative economy across GM.
GM’s 10 districts have their own unique voice and identity, and include the culture-rich cityscape ofManchesterand media-savvy Salford Quays. This is a varied role with a broad remit, supporting the network, and developing its reach. Working in partnership across the network and the arts sector to champion the successful delivery of a refreshed Greater Manchester Arts Vision.
We are offering a day rate of £250 and seeking someone who is flexible and familiar with the cultural landscape of Greater Manchester. We anticipate this role will require, on average, 2 days work per week. There is funding in place for 44 weeks’ worth of work, with some capacity for additional days. We anticipate the work would be between 8-10 days per month.
Agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed. The funding is in place to July 2015.
It is anticipated at this stage that the work will be split 50:50 between the coordination and the strategic work.
- Gathering and compiling key data and the achievements of GMAON for both monitoring and advocacy purposes, presented in reports as appropriate
- To explore potential investment opportunities, working on bids and securing additional funding for the network
- To raise the profile of the network’s achievements within and beyond Greater Manchester
- Maintain existing and establish new strategic partnerships
