6pm- 8pm poetry/ creative writing workshop
The workshop will look at the lyrics of Gil Scott-Heron, using his words to inspire us to write or feel. The sessions are a relaxed way to share poetry, ideas and creativity. No writing or poetry experience necessary.

8pm -10pm poetry performance/reading with open mic
Guest poets
Hafsah Aneela Bashir, Lover of life, culture and justice. Reminder of the dark side and celebrator of the light.  Hafsah is completing a Combined Honours English and Criminology degree and  writing a creative dissertation on Partition of India based on true story.  She has been writing poetry for the last 10 years but only started sharing very recently.

ChriSJaM, Poet / Poet Coach / Project manager / Dj
Dense intense content delivered with soul fire. ChriSJaM passionately spits word wizardry on a panorama of topics from full on social rants to celebrations of universal love and aspirations.

Open mic (This is an opportunity to share poems, bring your own poems or songs by Gil Scott-Heron  to read or play.   Musicians also very welcome to perform)
