To mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr’s historic ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, Writing on the Wall and National Museums Liverpool invite you to create a poetic response to these powerful words. Poet and Spoken Word artist Curtis Watt will lead a workshop day on Tuesday 20th August from 10am – 4pm at The International Slavery Museum, Albert Dock, L3 4AX.
Participants will then be given the opportunity to showcase their poems during a public performance on the anniversary of the speech on Wednesday 28th August.
This event will be part of a day of activities at the Marin Luther King building at the Albert Dock, organised by National Museums Liverpool and a range of artistic and cultural partners from across the city.
