The Music Publishers Association (“MPA”) has launched the first industry approved course in music publishing editorial and production. The MPA Graduate Certificate in Editorial and Production is the only course in the UK offering extended, specialist training in these areas. Designed by music publishers and delivered by highly experienced and respected industry experts, this new course provides a comprehensive programme for those entering or furthering a career in the editorial and production areas of printed music publishing.
The course will run from September 2013 to February 2014, with the majority of the sessions being delivered one evening per week. Topics include production, planning and costing, engraving rules, pop music principles and proofreading. Those who pass the course will receive a certificate, and their names will be listed on the MPA website. Places are limited to just 15 per year, and therefore early booking is encouraged.
The course fee is £1,620 for applications received by the 30th April. After that date and until the final deadline of 30th June, the fee is £1,750. For more information about the course and to download the application form, please visit:
