This Programme Consists of Four Steps
Fill out the relevant online application form:
Your application will first be assessed by the Executive Director of STAY as the funder of the programme who will determine your suitability for this programme.
The Chief Executive of CidaCo will then be asked to assess your application from a business perspective, to ensure that CidaCo is likely to be able to help you
You will be invited to a 1:1 diagnostic session, lasting about one hour, with your CidaCo Mentor who will make the final decision about inviting you on to the programme.
If you are successful, your CidaCo Mentor will agree a programme with you alongside a mutually designed Mentoring Agreement.
This Agreement will detail your programme plan as well as identifying some basic issues including your agreement to undertake the work agreed with your Mentor that will need to be undertaken between mentoring sessions.
A signed copy of the Agreement will be held by the Business Owner, by CidaCo and by STAY. Thereafter, all meetings are confidential and mentor’s notes are not shared with anyone other than the business owner.
There are four key aspects to a mentors role:
- Coaching e.g. practical advice on how to undertake a particular task or activity
- Facilitating e.g. creating/introducing opportunities for the practice of new skills
- Counselling e.g. helping to explore the consequences of potential decisions
- Networking e.g. introducing new contacts to complement the knowledge and experience that the mentor brings to the relationship
You will be provided with 24 hours 1:1 mentoring by CidaCo over 3 months. This will be provided in 2 hour chunks, and will be spread over the agreed period.
