Wider Opportunities Leaders, St.Helens Council

/ /
Closes Friday 15 February 2013 | Paid (£25k-30k pro rata)

St.Helens Council Music Service is looking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced instrumental and vocal tutors.  They have two vacancies as part of their vocal and rock/music technology teams.  Both are part-time fixed-term positions within the Council.

The Vocal Leader post is to support primary schools through a variety of short projects and events.  You will need experience of working with whole classes and large groups, the ability to prepare and teach in a wide variety of musical styles as well as being able to inspire others through your own vocal ability.

They are also seeking to appoint someone who is able to deliver music technology sessions in a number of settings to young people.  You will need to be proficient in the use and teaching of a variety of software environments such as Cubase, Ableton Live and Garage Band and have knowledge of the associated hardware required for music making and recording.  The post will be part of the rock and pop music team and so the ability to play guitar and keyboard would be an advantage.
