Common Wealth are currently looking for female performers between the ages of 16-25 of South Asian descent to take part in an R&D week for their new piece about Muslim female boxers.

£40 per 4 hour session during the week of 7th-11th of October, must be available for showing on Friday 11thof October. There will be five afternoon sessions throughout the week although we can be flexible as to how many you attend.

Performers must be confident and open and have some experience of drama at any level. This is a fantastic opportunity for a young performer as you will be working with a full professional team (Director, Writer, Choreographer, Set Designer, Film-maker, Sound Artist) and you will be supported artistically to contribute your ideas about the world. The performance will explore ideas about the future, the unexpected and challenging the stereotypes of Muslim females- we aim to make a positive, inspiring piece.

Auditions will be held at Theatre in the Mill, Bradford on Saturday the 21st of September at 2pm-5pm. To book an audition place, please email evie@commonwealththeatre.co.uk with a photo and a short statement about your experience.
